Allister welcomes haemorrage of support for Constitution

Statement from DUP MEP Jim Allister:-
"I greatly welcome the fact that even within the European Parliament there is a significant haemorrhage of support for the EU Constitution. Exactly this time last year 500 members voted to support the Constitution. In a vote today on a report on the "reflection period", which declared continuing support for the Constitution, only 385 members voted in favour. Whereas, the vote against has increased.
If even within the European Parliament support for the Constitution is waning, then doubtless within the general population the loss of support is even more dramatic."
