TUV welcomes suitable unity candidate

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-
“TUV welcomes the agreement on a suitable unity candidate in Mid Ulster.
“As a victim of the IRA, through the murder of his father, Nigel Lutton can well represent an area so savaged by republican terrorism. His selection throws down a challenge to the media and their capability and inclination to go after Molloy on the basis of the David Simpson allegations. Will Sinn Fein continue to get their usual easy ride from the media?
“The circumstances and terrorists involved in the IRA murder of Nigel Lutton’s father should be the subject of relentless pursuit by an investigative media. This selection puts it up to Sinn Fein and, indeed, to all who sustain them in government.
“I urge voters across Mid Ulster to make this election a roll call of anti-IRA/Sinn Fein democrats.”
