More Chaos in Dysfunctional Executive

26 November 2012

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-

"Months later than it ought to have been addressed the Executive is in disarray over how to progress essential public pension reform. Rejection of the obvious need for a Legislative Consent Motion threatens punitive loss to the Block Grant. And, who has done this - those the First Minister pretends are delivering for Northern Ireland, the dysfunctional Executive over which he and McGuinnness preside. However, any journalist who dares to comment adversely will be labelled negative or worse!

"The truth is that this is an executive incapable of bringing good government to Northern Ireland, because there is no common commitment essential to make coalition work. An inevitable consequence of mandatory coalition is the deadlock and delay at which Stormont excels. As ever, it is the ordinary people who suffer from the grandstanding at the cabinet table." back to list
