Challenge to Catholic Church to end silence on Dunloy find

12 October 2012

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-

"The silence from the Roman Catholic Church about the find earlier this week of terrorist material in its Parochial Hall in Dunloy has been deafening. Likewise the media has gone quiet once it became clear the incident did not involve any attack on the Catholic church or residents.

"Considering the days of voluble outcry surrounding St Patrick's and St Matthew's in Belfast, by both churchmen and media, the silence over St Joseph's stands in stark contrast!

"If, indeed, the items found had been intended for attack on the church or its parishioners, how different the response would have been.

"It's time for the church authorities to speak out and explain what has been going on in Dunloy." back to list
