Well done UK

13 August 2012

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-

“London did the whole United Kingdom proud in its hosting of the Olympic Games.

“Within the EU national pride and identity is deliberately suppressed and discouraged, but through the Olympic Games we saw a most welcome re-assertion of both. Across the UK citizens took pride in the remarkable success of our British team, to which our rowers made a fantastic contribution.

“The UK emerges stronger, not just in terms of sport, but as a national entity. National identity is something to be celebrated, not despised; a much healthier commodity than the Brussels diktat.”
