They Haven't Gone Away You Know

27 July 2012

Commenting on a statement announcing a re-formed IRA TUV leader Jim Allister said:

“It is evident that the so-called dissidents have decided to follow the Provo template. No surprise there. The very existence of the contrived Stormont institutions – which grants apologists for terror a place at the cabinet table for ever – is testament to the sad fact that in Northern Ireland violence pays.

“And let us be in no doubt about the very clear links which remain between supposed dissidents and Sinn Fein. Just a few weeks ago Sinn Fein Minister O’Dowd acted as official minder for Corey during funeral parole.

“Add to that the fact that police have linked supposedly decommissioned IRA explosives to a range of these groups and security sources have said that Provisional expertise has been employed in making bombs and people should be in no doubt about the origin of these supposedly new groups.” back to list
