Allister Calls for Police to Remove Black Mountain Sign Ahead of HM the Queen's Visit

26 June 2012

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:

“Following complains from members of the general public my office contacted the Chief Constable’s Office and Standtown PSNI calling on the police to immediately remove the large sign saying “Eriu is our Queen” from Black Mountain. It also appears that those responsible intend to display a foreign flag below the message.

“This is clearly conduct liable to cause a breach of the peace. I look forward to swift action from the police.”
