Allister Welcomes Kingsmill Findings

Statement by TUV leader Jim Allister:
“The Kingsmill massacre was one of the most horrific incidents in the Troubles. Few incidents illustrated the sectarian nature of the IRA’s murder campaign as graphically. In pointing the figure of blame at the IRA the report simply confirms what everyone already knew but it is welcome in that it vindicates what the families have been saying for so many years.
“Sadly the full truth of what happened that terrible day is still hidden. Yes it was the IRA which carried out the murders but who within that wicked organisation? No one has ever been brought to justice.
“Worse still those who continue to justify the IRA’s bloody sectarian campaign sit at the heart of our government.”
