Another DUP Sell Out

“During the election the DUP cultivated the pretence that it would rescue education from the destructive grip of Sinn Fein. I warned it was a deception and that a vote for DUP would put Sinn Fein back in education. Sadly, tonight, it appears I was right and that once more the DUP has failed the parents, teachers and children of Northern Ireland by failing to take education when available to them, choosing instead to leave it free for their Sinn Fein partner.
“I fear the even more chaotic state in which education will be after another 4 years of Ruane or O’Dowd rampaging through it, utterly unfettered by any meaningful accountability to the Assembly.
“When we add the prospect of Barry McIlduff, or some such republican activist, in charge of our culture, then what state of ruination will prevail there too? Such is the price of the DUP’s empowerment of IRA/Sinn Fein.”
