DUP plans to afflict Northern Ireland with 4 more years of Ruane

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-
“It was appalling to hear DUP Education spokesman, Mervyn Storey, confirm on Nolan this morning that the DUP, if the biggest party, will pass over education, leaving it to return for four more ruinous years to Catriona Ruane.
“Ruane has been a destructive disaster in education. She has wreaked havoc with one of the best education systems in the world. Her ministerial tyranny has trampled underfoot parental choice and rammed her dogma down everyone’s throat. At the same time she has squandered scarce resources on favouring the Irish medium sector as she has rampaged unfettered through education.
“Despite loud boasts by the DUP that ministers would be held to account, Ruane has done as she pleases with Mervyn Storey a mere spectator. And, what is the DUP response? A free passage for Ruane for four more years of educational mayhem!
“Gifting Sinn Fein four more years in education is a shameful indictment of the DUP and yet another good reason to vote TUV. Ruane back in education is yet another example of vote DUP – get Sinn Fein.”
