Sadness at Saver/Naver revelations and a call for transparency from all concerned

Statement by Jim Allister:-
“As someone who as an MEP gladly helped Saver/Naver and thereby the victims they worked for, I am greatly saddened by the revelations on Tonight’s Spotlight programme.
“The programme has raised serious issues, including issues about the conduct of DUP MLA, William Irwin.
“Given that the Code of Conduct, under which MLAs must operate, includes obligations “to act on all occasions in accordance with the public trust placed in them” and “to act in the interests of the community as a whole”, William Irwin needs to fully explain himself.
“It would also appear appropriate for the Assembly Commissioner for Standards to now examine the actions of Mr Irwin.”
