Allister welcomes opportunity to lobby European Commissioners

Speaking today, DUP MEP Jim Allister said, “I welcome this opportunity that the visit of two EC Commissioners to the Province presents to push key Northern Ireland issues to the top of the agenda.
With the Transport Commissioner Mr Barrott tomorrow, I will focus upon the grave structural deficit Northern Ireland suffers regarding transportation arising from years of underinvestment. On Friday, I will press Mrs Hubner, the Regional Commissioner, of the prerequisite for funding under the PEACE II extension to be distributed equitably and urge for the deficit in funding to the Protestant/Unionist community to be redressed”.
