U2 Robin should be careful what you say

16 February 2011

Statement by East Belfast TUV candidate Harry Toan:-

“Clearly, Robin Newton doesn’t do irony.

“This is a man who day and daily sits politically joined at the hip with notorious IRA bomber, Gerry Kelly, as Joint Junior Ministers, but who, with no thought to his own credibility, slams Bono for singing IRA songs.

“Of course, Bono has behaved appallingly, but Robin Newton is in no position to talk about insulting those who suffered at the hands of IRA terrorists. Whether those terrorists are lauded in song or rewarded by office, the insult is intolerable. The glasshouse of terrorist-inclusive government is no place from which Robin Newton or the DUP should throw stones. They only add foolishness to hypocrisy.”
