Stormont Leader's hatred of all thing British

17 January 2011

Responding to comments made by Sinn Fein deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness on the Ryan Tubridy show at the weekend, TUV spokesman David Vance said;

"The same hatred of all things British that made Martin McGuinness an active and wicked IRA terrorist still shapes him, hence his weekend vitriol against the Royal family. That some Unionists should be surprised only underscores their folly and weakness in making such a man Joint First Minister.

"Considering the Provos’ decades of indiscriminate murder, the rank hypocrisy of the head of the IRA demanding apology from the head of the British state takes some beating. McGuinness’ outburst also underscores the insatiable nature of republican demands. They got Ł200m lavished on the Saville Inquiry, the outcome they demanded, but still they want more. Their  greed for continued appeasement is encouraged by the feckless actions of some foolish unionists"
