"I welcome the fact that the latest sectarian attack on Protestants in Rasharkin has on this occasion been followed by an arrest, though more are needed. Hitherto we have seen a distinct lack of follow up action and incidents going unpunished. I trust this time the perpetrators will be prosecuted, because only robust action through the courts will put an end to the litany of republican, sectarian attacks in Rasharkin.
