Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-
"Gerry Adams venomous objection to the Secretary of State wearing an armband in support of the RIR in Afghanistan shows what a hate-filled ogre he is. Adams constantly glorifies the vile, cowardly terrorists of his IRA and he and his ilk know all about the garb of the balaclava and arm restraints tying the hands of IRA victims before they are shot in the head, yet he has the audacity to challenge the Secretary of State’s personal liberty to acknowledge the sacrifice of real soldiers.
"Why shouldn’t the Secretary of State show his support for our brave soldiers of the RIR who today play their part in facing down the Taliban, just as in former times they faced down Adams’ Provos. That, of course, is why the real Gerry Adams came to the fore in his outburst against the armband."
