Rasharkin attacks inevitable corollary of Sinn Fein stance

13 September 2010

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-

"Just a month after Sinn Fein did its utmost to stir up sectarian hatred over the Ballymaconnelly parade, it is hard to be surprised by the latest despicable attack on Protestant culture and presence in Rasharkin. While Sinn Fein MLA McKay might articulate his intolerance through words, he should well know that others will compliment his invective with paint bombs and graffiti, and worse, but all speaking the same language of republican domination and bigotry.

"I've said it many times before, but it bears repetition, these attacks could be stopped by the IRA/Sinn Fein machine, but they choose not to do so, because formenting strife and discord is an essential part of the pernicious agenda of this 'party of government'."
