ACC Finlay's naivety

13 July 2010

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister:-

"There is a certain naivety in ACC Finlay thinking republican violence can be assuaged by the Joint First Ministers doing more, particularly McGuinness, since his adornment of that office, sadly, is proof positive that under the perverted 'peace process' republican violence paid. Today's republican rioters and bombers are no different and no better or worse than those who last deployed unwarranted violence with such political effect. When they look at Sinn Fein they doubtless say it worked for them: alas, so it did.

"So, ACC Finlay would be better concentrating on defeating the men of violence rather than invoking the name of their notorious predecessors and soul mates."
