What are they hiding?

16 March 2010

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister QC:-

"Everyone knows the DUP/Sinn Fein regime does not do transparency or welcome the spotlight of public examination, but given the public commitments made in Section 5 of their Hillsborough Agreement, it is time the Joint First Ministers revealed what issues they have identified to the Executive from St Andrews which "have not been faithfully implemented or actioned".

"This, according to Section 5, was to be done by the end of February and then another Working Group set up to report by the end of March. Has this Working Group been set up, who serves on it and what issues is it examining?

"Whatever the pre-election sensitivity of the DUP over the full extent of its squalid Hillsborough deal with Sinn Fein, surely the public are entitled to know what St Andrews issues, which may well include the Irish language and more north/southery, are being taken forward."
