DUP prepares to cave in

04 February 2010

Commenting on the latest political speculation TUV Leader Jim Allister said:-

"Clearly, the pressure is on the DUP to cave in and all the signs are that their leadership is ready to do so. Sinn Fein stand poised to get their key strategic demand of the transfer of policing and justice to a terrorist-inclusive Executive and that with indecent haste. Meanwhile, the DUP will get mere promise and fudge on parades. It seems the days of push-over Unionism are well and truly back.

"Desperate for fig leaves to cover their embarrassment, even playing politics with the hard-pressed PMS savers is fair game for the DUP. If a solution on the PMS can be found when it is politically convenient to the DUP, then it confirms the suspicion of many that for months they have been cynically delaying resolution till it suited their policing and justice sell-out agenda."
