Commenting, after attending the Ulster Young Farmers’ Club Gala Evening at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast, MEP Jim Allister congratulated all those involved in what he termed “a marvellous evening not just of entertainment but of showcasing the fantastic talents of all the participants.”
“It is encouraging to see the Young Farmers’ Clubs progressing from strength to strength. It is a superb outlet for young people, cultivating initiative and confidence. The rural community in general is much the richer for YFC’s contribution. Sometimes the efforts of those who give leadership and hours of work to such organisations is taken for granted, but should be appreciated by all with the stability and future of the rural community at heart. An event like the Gala Evening, which showcased the artistic talent, certainly brought home to me the great worth of UYFC.”
