McBride enjoys protection of OFMDFM "safe house"

07 March 2009

Statement by TUV Leader Jim Allister MEP

“The eulogy to a terrorist, her brother, which so called Victim’s Commissioner Patricia McBride has posted on the internet, demonstrates not only her unsuitability for her role, but the craven folly of the DUP First Minister in appointing her. Let every offended genuine victim remember that Commissioner McBride holds her position courtesy of the DUP agreeing her appointment with IRA/Sinn Fein.

That such brazen glorification of IRA terrorism can flow from one elevated by the OFMDFM to look after “victims” is itself an illustration of the perverse morality upon which this DUP/Sinn Fein regime is built.

Of course, she should be sacked, but there is no chance of that because the government which appointed her itself contains three convicted terrorists. So, she knows she has the protection of the “safe house” which OFMDFM is for those of this ilk.”
