One year on from Dromore

13 February 2009

In a statement to coincide with the anniversary of the Dromore by-election TUV Leader Jim Allister MEP said:-

“One year on from the political earthquake that was the Dromore by-election, TUV is proud to remain the voice of those opposed to terrorists in government and to continue to require much over-the-shoulder attention from those who ushered IRA/Sinn Fein into government.

I look forward to the 4th June when Unionists right across the Province will have the opportunity to give their verdict on terrorist-inclusive government. As the only candidate opposed to IRA/Sinn Fein ruling over us, it will be an honour to galvanise the deep-seated opposition which I know continues to exist among citizens who believe what is morally wrong can never be politically right.

Considering the impact of 800 votes at Dromore, I look forward to the consequences of tens of thousands of votes from ordinary Unionists who have not sold principle for the expediency of office.”
