Comments on Orange Hall attack

“Last night’s attack on an Orange Hall near Pomeroy was the latest in a series of sectarian attacks and part of the wider Republican campaign against Orange culture.
“I thrust that forensic examination of incriminating articles found at the scene will - this time - result in securing prosecutions of the perpetrators so that this cycle of attacks on Orange Halls in isolated areas can be broken.
“Orange Halls play a vital role in the community, particularly in rural areas. Many people, both in the Order and outside of it, will perceive this as an attack upon them. To them I offer my sincere sympathy.”
