Statement by Jim Allister MEP:
"Following the appearance of the three men in court at the weekend, charged with kidnapping, I am calling on the Chief Constable to clarify if they have links to the Provisional IRA and to confirm whether one of them led the Sinn Fein Easter Sunday parade this year from North Belfast.
For what it is worth, given its enthusiasm for thinking well of the Provos, I have written to the IMC requesting it to investigate and report on these matters of public interest, about which there seems to be a conspiracy of silence."
