Common sense prevails on A26 decision

11 August 2008

Statement by Jim Allister MEP on the A 26 Dualling proposal:-

“Having been involved in lobbying over the correct route for the A 26 dualling for a very  considerable time, I welcome the fact that common sense has prevailed and that maximum use will be made of the existing route and virgin agricultural land will be spared from unnecessary destruction.

I trust urgency will now attend delivery of this project and that neither budgetary constraint nor DRD dilatoriness will further delay the provision of this long-overdue road upgrade.”
